Dan Spicer has a diverse work experience in the fields of sales, marketing, engineering, and project management. Dan started their career in 2005 as an Audio-Visual Systems Fabrication Technician at Telaid, where they were responsible for fabricating and testing telecommunication equipment. Dan also worked as a Telecom Project Manager at the same company, coordinating installations and providing technical support.
In 2011, Dan worked as a Photonics Lab Assistant at Southern Connecticut State University. Dan then joined IPG Photonics in 2013 as a Laser Research and Development Technician, participating in research activities and troubleshooting electronic schematics. In the same year, they joined Light Sources Inc. as a Germicidal Sales Engineer, where they educated and provided technical support to OEM customers regarding UVC lamp technology.
In 2019, Dan became the Social Media Manager at the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce. Currently, they hold the role of Director of Sales and Marketing at Light Sources Inc. and also serves as the Chair of the International Ultraviolet Association Young Professionals Committee at the International Ultraviolet Association.
Dan Spicer has a diverse education history. Dan began their studies at Three Rivers Community College from 2005 to 2009, where they earned an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Electrical Engineering Technology as well as an AS degree in Laser and Fiberoptic Technology. Following this, Dan attended Southern Connecticut State University from 2009 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics. Finally, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Global Marketing at the University of New Haven from 2015 to 2019.
