Anneka Herre

Program Director, Urban Video Project at Light Work

Anneka Herre is the Program Director of the Urban Video Project at Light Work. Anneka has also served as an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Illinois at Chicago, and as an artist-in-residence at the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh. Prior to their current positions, Anneka worked as a studio assistant for multimedia artist Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle.

Anneka Herre is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work focuses on contemporary social issues. By using video, photography, performance, and installation, they examine how power is negotiated and represented in public space.

Anneka Herre has a BFA in Sculpture, a BA in Philosophy, and an English degree from The Ohio State University. Anneka also has an MFA in film/video/animation from the University of Illinois Chicago.

Anneka Herre reports to Daniel Boardman, Director. They work with Victor Rivera - Exhibitions & Collection Manager, Julie Herman - Customer Service Manager. A direct report to Anneka Herre is and Brady McDougall - Technical Assistant, Urban Video Project.
