Vikas Kumar

Vikas Kumar has a strong background in machine learning and data science. Vikas is currently working as the Machine Learning Lead at LightBeam.ai since June 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Machine Learning Engineer at the same company from December 2020 to May 2022.

Before joining LightBeam.ai, Vikas worked as a Consultant at Deloitte India (Offices of the US) from April 2019 to December 2020. During this time, they focused on providing analytical solutions across various industries such as Insurance, Life Science, and Pharma. Vikas developed an auto email response system for a leading insurance company, applying XgBoost and BERT models on tabular and text features. Additionally, they created a Patient Finder tool for a leading pharma company.

Vikas also gained experience as a Data Scientist at EXL from August 2017 to March 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Decision Science Intern at Quantiphi, Inc. in 2016 and as a Research Assistant at Kansas State University, USA in 2015.

Vikas Kumar pursued their education at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur from 2012 to 2017. During this time, they completed a Dual Degree program, which included both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in an unspecified field of study.
