Peter Vargo

Peter Vargo has a comprehensive background in composite manufacturing and technician roles. Peter began their career at Space Systems Loral in 2006, where they served as a Lead/Composite Manufacturing Technician Specialist. In this role, they managed work centers, conducted research and development, operated advanced measuring systems, trained technicians, and received achievement awards for their contributions.

Following their time at Space Systems Loral, Vargo worked at Lockheed Martin as a Composite Parts Fabricator, where they performed layout, cutting, kitting, and mold/mandrel preparation. Peter also managed the MM ARRAY work center and developed innovative layup and panel procedures.

Vargo then joined Aerojet Rocketdyne as a Plastics Mechanic, specializing in composites. Their responsibilities included filament winding, bonding, cutting, shaping, trimming, and following safety protocols for confined space entries.

Next, Vargo worked at ACP Composites as a Lead/Supervisor, managing a swing-shift crew for various composite manufacturing processes. Their duties included laying up and bagging processes, curing, trimming, grinding of composite parts, as well as ensuring a controlled environment and alarm system/shutdown procedures.

Vargo's career then took him to Arris Composites, where they served as an Advanced Composite Technician in research and development and final process. Peter worked on continuous carbon fiber composites, combining 3D printing with traditional high-volume manufacturing.

Prior to their current position, Vargo was employed by Momentus as a Spacecraft Integration Technician. Momentus offers infrastructure services for space exploration, and Vargo contributed to satellite and cargo delivery, payload hosting, and in-orbit servicing options.

Most recently, Vargo joined LTA Research and Exploration as a Senior Engineer Test Technician.

Peter Vargo completed their education in a variety of fields. From 2004 to 2006, they attended Sierra Academy of Aeronautics (Wyotech) and obtained a degree in Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science and Technology, General, specializing in Airplane & Powerplant. In 2006, they also acquired Avionics Licenses from WyoTech.

Later, starting from 2008 and finishing in 2012, Peter studied at Mission College, where they focused on Mechanical Engineering. Although there is no record of him earning a degree from Mission College, they likely gained substantial knowledge in the field.

Furthermore, from 2001 to 2008, Peter Vargo attended San Jose State University, concentrating on Visual and Performing Arts. However, similar to their time at Mission College, there is no information regarding him receiving a degree from San Jose State.

Lastly, Peter obtained a certification in Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED from The Simplex Group - Compliance & Safety Management Solutions in September 2018.
