Steve Vardavas

Steve Vardavas has extensive work experience in operations, facilities management, and environmental, health, and safety (EHS). Steve is currently the Director of Operations at LTA Research's Akron location since March 2023. Prior to this role, they were the Director of Facilities at LTA Research from August 2021 to March 2023.

Before joining LTA Research, Steve worked at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics for 14 years, starting as an ESH Manager in January 2007 and leaving in August 2021. Steve was responsible for managing environmental, health, and safety initiatives at the company.

Prior to Lockheed Martin, Steve worked as an Environmental, Health, Safety, and Labor Manager at COLFOR MANUFACTURING INC. Division of American Axle from February 2005 to January 2007.

Steve also served as a Facilities Manager at PMH Resources from September 2004 to January 2005 and as an Operations Manager at NATIONAL MARINE from March 2004 to August 2004.

Steve's earliest work experience includes their time at DELPHI CORPORATION, where they held multiple roles. Steve was a Facilities Manager from January 2002 to March 2004, overseeing a $2 million consolidation project and implementing various energy-saving initiatives. Prior to that, they worked as a Facilities Engineer from June 2000 to January 2002 at the same company.

Steve Vardavas holds a Master's Degree in Environmental and Civil Engineering, which they obtained from Youngstown State University. Steve attended this university from 1995 to 1999. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from The Ohio State University, where they studied from 1988 to 1994.
