John MacKay

John MacKay is the CEO and Founder of Lighthouse Photonics, a position held since April 2009. Prior to this, MacKay served as General Manager of the Scientific Business Unit at Coherent from 2003 to January 2009, overseeing operations, engineering, marketing, and support for a business unit with over $40 million in revenue. MacKay co-founded and was VP of Sales at PowerNetix from 2000 to 2003, where the company specialized in high power, fiber-coupled laser diodes. Other roles include Product Line Manager at Coherent (1997-2000), VP Sales & Marketing at Clark-MXR (1995-1997), and Sales Manager for North America at Quantronix (1991-1995). John MacKay holds a PhD in Physics from Heriot-Watt University.
