Dan oversees the Liquidity Risk Management Program at John Hancock Investments and has over twenty five years of investment risk management, financial operations, technology, and leadership experience.
At John Hancock, Dan oversees the liquidity risk of John Hancock’s mutual funds and ETFs in accordance with the SEC’s Regulation 22e-4 and serves on several key internal committees which oversee the modeling and pricing of complex securities.
Early in his career, Dan worked in operations at State Street Bank. In 1992, he joined Harvard Management Company, where he spent 17 years in a variety of positions including Vice President of Market Risk and Performance Analytics, Managing Director, and Chief Risk Officer. He joined Union Bancaire Privée Asset Management in New York as their Global Chief Risk Officer in 2009 and moved back to Boston in 2011 consulting with Lightkeeper, LLC. Prior to joining John Hancock Investments in April 2018, Dan served as the Chief Operating Officer of NEPC, LLC for four years overseeing the performance, risk, and technology groups and was Head of Investment Risk at MassMutual Financial Group.
