Jim Flanagan

Jim recently retired as Managing Director after 26 years at Morgan Stanley. After joining via their IT training program in 1991, Jim spent his entire Morgan Stanley career in Prime Brokerage. Jim played an influential role in the design of numerous client technology offerings including the Client Link web portal for reporting and operational efficiency, P&L Link for real time reporting, MSPA for portfolio accounting, Performance Measurement for portfolio analytics and the cross asset class reporting suite for custody, margin and financing.

Jim created and managed the Business consulting team which assisted hundreds of hedge fund managers with the launch and operation of their investment management businesses. To help drive best practices across the industry, Jim and team developed the peer analysis surveys.

Jim graduated from Georgetown University with honors in 1991 with a BA degree in Philosophy and a minor in Computer Science. Jim lives in New Jersey with his wife and two children.
