Nrupatunga is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in deep learning and computer vision. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Engineer at LightMetrics since December 2022, Nrupatunga previously held significant roles at Osmo as a Staff Research Engineer and at Whodat as a Deep Learning Research Engineer. Nrupatunga's career includes impactful contributions at Samsung R&D Institute India, where responsibilities spanned technical lead and lead engineer positions, focusing on image and video analysis, mobile solutions, and algorithm development. Nrupatunga earned a Master’s Degree in Signal Processing from the Indian Institute of Science and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering.
