Nicola Emmett

Nicola Emmett has a diverse range of work experience in the field of microbiology and quality assurance. Nicola is currently working as a QA/RA Manager at LightOx since 2020. Prior to this, they served as a Compliance Manager at QuantuMDx Group Limited from December 2017 to January 2020. In the same company, they also worked as a Quality Officer from February 2015 to December 2017. Earlier in their career, Nicola worked as a Senior QC Supervisor at Leica Biosystems from April 2012 to December 2014. Before that, they were a Senior Microbiology Consultant at Honeyman Group Ltd in 2011. From September 2008 to September 2010, they held the position of Head of Microbiology at Gordon Laboratories. Their career started at County Durham and Darlington NHS trust, where they worked as a Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Microbiology from March 2003 to September 2008. Throughout their roles, Nicola has demonstrated strong leadership, management, and technical skills in the field of microbiology.

Nicola Emmett has a strong educational background in biomedical science, specializing in microbiology. Nicola earned a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Sunderland, where they studied from 1998 to 2002. Nicola further pursued their education by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Science, again specializing in microbiology. Nicola acquired this degree from Ulster University between 2006 and 2008.

In addition to their academic achievements, Nicola Emmett has also obtained two certifications related to information privacy. Nicola is a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) and a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E). These certifications were obtained respectively in October 2018 and March 2018 from The International Association of Privacy Professionals.
