Yoav Hacohen

Yoav HaCohen is a prominent figure in the field of generative AI, currently serving as the GenAI Foundational Models Research Team Lead at Lightricks since December 2020, where responsibilities include training large diffusion models and optimizing them for inference. As a co-founder and CEO of Picktorial, Yoav has developed AI technologies aimed at understanding and enhancing personal photo collections. Prior to these roles, Yoav was the Chief Scientist Officer and a founding member of D-ID, where contributions included the development of generative AI models for facial video manipulation. Academic credentials include a PhD in Computer Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where Yoav was mentored by Prof. Dani Lischinski, alongside additional degrees in computer science and business management. Early career experience encompasses roles in software engineering and research at both NDS Ltd. and Adobe Systems, as well as serving as a system engineer in the IDF Intelligence Corps.
