Samir Abhyankar

Samir Abhyankar is a seasoned professional in investment and finance with extensive experience across various sectors. Currently serving as Partner and Head of India at Lightrock since March 2025, Samir has held multiple leadership roles at British International Investment from November 2020 to March 2025, including Managing Director in several divisions. Additionally, Samir has been a Board Member at Mahindra Electric Automobile Limited and KELIX bio, the latter focusing on high-complexity products for underserved markets. Previous roles include Partner at TPG and Satya Capital, as well as an Investment Professional at Citi Venture Capital International, where engagement in private equity activities in Africa took place. Samir's foundational experience includes positions at CDC Group plc, Marakon Associates, and The World Bank, complemented by a solid educational background with an MBA from INSEAD and a Master's from Johns Hopkins SAIS.
