Carolina Torres Vivas

Carolina Torres Vivas has a diverse work experience primarily in the energy sector. From 2023 onwards, they will be the Head of Community Engagement, EMEA at Lightsource bp, where they will be responsible for developing and implementing community and stakeholder engagement strategies. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2023, they worked as the Local Development, Community & Stakeholder Engagement Manager at Renewables, New Businesses and Innovation Unit - Naturgy Energy Group SA, where they were responsible for designing and implementing engagement strategies for renewable generation projects. Before that, from 2007 to 2023, Carolina worked at GAS NATURAL FENOSA ENGINEERING, S.L.U. as the Project Manager and Sustainability Area Manager, overseeing development cooperation projects and environmental management. Carolina also has previous experience as an Environmental Researcher at the Geological Survey of Spain.

Carolina Torres Vivas completed their Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences at Universidad Europea from 1996 to 2001. Carolina then pursued a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering and Project Management at Escuela de Organización Industrial from 2001 to 2002. Additionally, Carolina obtained a Master's degree in Planning and Management of Cooperation for Development Projects, with a specialization in Cooperation and Sustainable Development, from Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (U.N.E.D.) from 2010 to 2011.
