Francisco Beirão

Francisco Beirão is an accomplished professional in the energy sector with significant experience in government affairs and commercial marketing. Currently serving as the Director of Government Affairs and Commercial Marketing for Lightsource bp in the EMEA region since September 2021, Francisco leads a diverse team focused on energy policy, stakeholder relations, and strategic business development. In addition to this role, Francisco holds prominent positions such as Vice President and Board Member of SolarPower Europe, advocating for the solar PV industry across Europe. Francisco's previous experience includes leadership roles in European Affairs at EDP, where responsibilities encompassed advising the CEO and heading the Brussels office, as well as involvement in various industry associations such as Eurelectric and the International Energy Charter.
