Allen Tate

Allen Tate is an experienced professional in project development with a focus on renewable energy. Currently serving as Director of Development at Lightstar Renewables, LLC since August 2024, Allen has previously held significant roles, including Senior Director of Project Development at Summit Ridge Energy and Director of Project Development at US Solar, overseeing community solar and distributed generation throughout the eastern US. Allen's expertise extends to managing teams at EDF Renewables North America, where responsibilities included engaging with diverse stakeholders to facilitate project handoffs to the EPC team. Allen's background in environmental law includes internships with the Colorado Attorney General's Office and the Southern Environmental Law Center. Allen obtained a Juris Doctor in Environmental Law from Vermont Law and Graduate School and a Master of Science in Conservation Biology from Antioch University New England.
