Jeff Merrick

Jeff Merrick has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Jeff is currently working as a Software Engineer at Lightup Data since October 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Manager of Automation at VMware from August 2019 to October 2021. Before VMware, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Uhana from August 2017 to August 2019. Jeff has also worked at VMware as a Sr. MTS Engineer / Staff Engineer / Manager from August 2012 to June 2017. Jeff started their career at Nicira as a Senior Software Engineer for a short period in 2012. Prior to that, they served as a Software Engineer Sr at Lockheed Martin from January 2005 to June 2012, where they worked on the development of the CEMSA system using various technologies such as Java Servlets, PostgreSQL, and the Spring Framework. Jeff's professional journey began as a Grad Student Research Assistant at the University of Michigan from June 2003 to December 2004.

Jeff Merrick has a strong educational background in computer engineering and computer science and engineering. Jeff attended the University of Michigan from 1999 to 2003 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) in Computer Engineering. Following this, they pursued further studies at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) in Computer Science and Engineering from 2003 to 2004.
