Alain Cartaya Salabarría

Alain Cartaya Salabarría is an experienced academic and industry professional with a strong background in computer science. Currently serving as a Professor of Data Structure and Algorithms at the University of Havana since September 2020, Alain teaches essential topics to computer science majors. In parallel, Alain holds positions as a Data Scientist and Software Developer at LAIA Technologies, where development focuses on cervical cancer detection systems using deep learning, and as a Frontend Developer at Ligo BV, contributing to user-friendly web applications. Additionally, Alain is a Full Stack Developer and Team Leader at Business Seed, overseeing project organization and technology decisions while developing eCommerce-oriented applications. Alain earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Havana, where academic achievements included a scientific merit award and completion of the Student Teacher program in Data Structure and Algorithms.
