Fearlessly imaginative and physically daring, Lîla Dance are a physical theatre company based in the south of England. 

We have three artistic directors who work with dance, theatre and music to produce meaningful experiences that deliver artistic information transferrable beyond dance. We embrace theatre devices to develop accessible narratives without telling linear stories. We refer to this as creating 'worlds' on the stage. Each world evolves through an artistic process where a selection of thoughts and feelings are thoroughly explored and debated and then woven together to create a ‘world’ on the stage that the dancers' characters inhabit.

We put our participants at the heart of what we do, creating innovative participatory activities which make them an integral part of our performances. Our workshops offer local communities a chance to find their own identity in our imaginary worlds, and learn a unique way of moving.

We are a Dream Artist of Pavilion Dance South West, a Supported Artist of The Point, and an associate company of the University of Chichester.
