Liran Zelkha has over 20 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Liran is currently serving as the Chief of Democracy at Democratech Israel since 2023. Prior to that, they were a Co-Founder at Lili from 2018.

From 2015 to 2018, Liran worked as the VP R&D at Pepper, a fin-tech startup in Israel, where they managed a large group of developers and technological personnel. Before that, they were the CEO and CTO at Tona Consulting, where they served as a technological consultant and project lead for high-end projects.

In 2010, Liran co-founded ScaleBase, a Big Data startup, where they were involved in various aspects of the business, including business development, sales, marketing, and product development. Liran also served as the Owner and Co-CEO at Aluna from 2005 to 2010.

Prior to their roles in startups, Liran worked as the CTO at 2Train4 from 2001 to 2004 and as a Developer at Integrity Systems from 1997 to 2001.

Liran started their career in the IDF (BSMH) where they held various positions, including Instructor, Course Commander, and MAPA. Liran was also responsible for the development of courses and the implementation of ISO 9000.

Throughout their career, Liran has demonstrated strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage large teams.

Liran Zelkha received a BSC degree in Computer Science from The Academic College of Tel-Aviv, Yaffo between 1999 and 2003. Before that, they pursued a BS degree in Computer Science from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev from 1995 to 1996. Their earlier education took place at Makif D Beer Sheva from 1991 to 1995, and at Omarim from 1983 to 1988, although no specific degrees or field of study were mentioned for these institutions. In addition to their formal education, Liran obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera in December 2017.
