LILITH CO-OP was founded in 1996, in Finland. Instead of starting their own individual companies, a group of producers and musicians believed that a joint venture would bring them benefits.

They were pioneering the idea of a freelance artist being employed by the company. Soon enough, Lilith became a work and entrepreneurship cooperative.

Today Lilith is Finland's biggest and oldest cooperative of its kind. Members work widely throughout the creative fields; such as culture, arts, crafts, design, well being, and travel, just to name a few.

Lilith’s core innovation is an account management platform for membership administration. It's part of the unique business model where the members operate inside the company as employees, sub-companies, or project managers.

The cooperative form of enterprise has many benefits. It electrifies people to learn from each other, it encourages sharing and trust, and builds a sustainable working culture where everyone is an equal member in terms of social security, healthcare and pension. It also enables a working culture where member’s multi-disciplinary skills are supported.

Lilith on luovan talouden toimijoiden osuuskunta. Yhteisin ponnistuksin on rakennettu joustava ja ainutlaatuinen yritysmalli. Malli kumpuaa jäsenistön tarpeista ja luovilla aloilla työskentelyn erityispiirteistä. Lilithin jäsen ei ole yrittäjä vaan palkansaaja.

Osuuskunnan jäsenenä voi keskittyä omaan osaamiseensa liiketalouden koukeroiden sijaan. Jäsen saa käyttöönsä osuuskunnan tiedot, taidot ja muut resurssit. Monipuolisen taloudenhoidon lisäksi se kattaa muiden muassa neuvonta- ja tukipalveluita, palkansaajan työsuhde-etuja ja sosiaaliturvan, valmiita verkostoja ja paljon muuta. Lilith on myös verkkokauppa ja kustantamo.

Yhdessä toimiminen luo säästöjä ja synergiaa. Jäsenistö omistaa osuuskunnan ja johtaa sen toimintaa demokraattisesti. Jäsen sitoutuu yhteisiin periaatteisiin, käytäntöihin ja tavoitteisiin tullessaan osuuskuntaan.
