Luca de Vivo Nicoloso

Luca De Vivo Nicoloso, PhD, is the Founder and Chief Commercialization Officer at LIMBER Prosthetics and Orthotics, where development of a seamless digital scanning, design, and fabrication workflow for prosthetic devices aims to enhance comfort and reduce costs. Previously, as a Postdoctoral Scientist at Qualcomm Institute - UC San Diego, Luca contributed to the LIMBER Project, focusing on innovative design and manufacturing techniques for 3D-printed transtibial prostheses. During academic tenure at the University of California San Diego, Luca completed a PhD in Structural Engineering and conducted research in integrative structural design and bio-mimicry, publishing work in Composite Additive Manufacturing. Past entrepreneurial experience includes co-founding Evolution's Solutions, developing sustainable technologies for agriculture. Luca's background also includes performance as a water polo athlete, representing Venezuela at various international competitions.
