Joana Azevedo has a diverse work experience with a focus on research and development in the fields of energy storage and filtration technology. Joana is currently working at LiNa Energy as the Cell Development Team Manager, where they are responsible for executing and analyzing data using various characterization techniques for materials development and evaluation. Prior to this role, they served as the Materials Team Lead at the same company.
Before joining LiNa Energy, Joana worked at Smart Separations Ltd as an R&D Product Engineer, leading prime projects to develop novel ceramic membrane products. Joana also conducted market research activities to support product commercialization and optimized manufacturing processes for enhanced product performance. Earlier in their career, Joana completed an internship in product development at Smart Separations Ltd.
Joana's work experience also includes an internship in quality control at Recipharm, during which they gained experience using analytical techniques such as spectrophotometry, chromatography, and potentiometric titrations. Joana provided support to analysts in various tasks related to water sampling, environmental controls, and packaging analysis.
Joana Azevedo completed their Master's Degree in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at NOVA School of Science and Technology from 2013 to 2016. In terms of certifications, they obtained a PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner Certification Training from The Knowledge Academy in 2021. In 2020, they acquired a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (ICBB) certification from the same institution, and in 2019, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Yellow & Green Belt certification. Joana also achieved an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Grade: C1 from IELTS Official in August 2016, and in 2015, they obtained an Image Pro Premier certification from Media Cybernetics, Inc.
