John Hancock has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. John began their career as an Apprentice Electrician/Electrician at NG Bailey and Co Ltd in 1996. From 2001 to 2004, they worked at Motherwell Bridge Rail as a Signalling Installation Team Leader, followed by roles as a SMTH/Signalling Team Leader at Orion Rail and Bridgen Enterprises. In 2006, they joined Clough Smith Rail as a Signalling Construction Manager, where they were responsible for testing, managing construction projects, and ensuring safe working practices. In 2011, they became the Head of Signalling at Linbrooke Services. Currently, they are serving as the Operations Director and Engineering Director at Linbrooke Services Ltd.
John Hancock attended Meadowhead School from 1990 to 1996. During this time, they did not pursue a specific field of study. Following their time at Meadowhead School, John attended Leeds College of Technology from 1996 to 1998. John focused on Electrical and Electronics Engineering during their time at the college.
