Ben Winter is an experienced executive in housing and urban development, currently serving as Executive Vice President at Linc Housing since March 2022 and as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern California's Sol Price School of Public Policy since January 2024. Previously, Ben held multiple leadership roles, including Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy Development at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and Chief Housing Officer for the City of Los Angeles, where responsibilities included advising on homelessness initiatives under Mayor Eric Garcetti. A strong background in grant-making during the early COVID-19 period was established as Sr. Program Officer at the California Community Foundation. Ben's early career included significant positions at HUD, starting as a Policy Development Analyst, and research at NYU Furman Center. Ben holds a Master of Urban Planning from New York University and Bachelor's degrees in Spanish Literature and International Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
