Hume An has an extensive work experience in the real estate development industry. Hume is currently serving as the Vice President & Regional Project Partner at Lincoln Avenue Capital since July 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of President at Rhizome Real Estate Development, Inc. starting from July 2020. Hume also had a significant tenure at MVAH Partners LLC, where they served as the Senior Vice President from April 2017 until July 2021. Before that, they worked at The Michaels Organization as the Vice President of Acquisitions and Development of the Midwest Region from March 2015 to April 2017. Hume's experience in the field dates back to their role as the Director of Real Estate Development at Heartland Alliance (Heartland Housing, Inc.) from February 2006 to March 2015. Hume began their career as a Policy Analyst at Prevent Child Abuse America from September 2000 to August 2003.
Hume An began their education in 1995 at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Rhetoric in 1999. Hume then continued their studies at the University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice from 2000 to 2001, where they achieved a Master of Arts degree in Social Service Administration. Finally, from 2003 to 2005, Hume An attended the Harvard Kennedy School, where they earned a Master of Public Policy degree with a focus on Public Policy.
