The Executive Director is the Chief Executive Officer of the Intermediate Unit. He is charged with implementing the policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors and with the overall responsibility for the educational and financial operations of the intermediate unit.
The Executive Director also chairs the Superintendents’ Advisory Council, acts as liaison to district superintendents and school boards, works with local district personnel, represents the intermediate unit on community boards, and serves as liaison to the Intermediate Unit Executive Directors, the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the State Legislature.
