Luis Gutierrez

Luis Gutierrez is a trustee at Lincoln Park Zoo. Luis previously worked as an administrative assistant and lab manager at Northwestern University from November 2016 to July 2019. There, they collected behavioral and spatial data on the mantled howler monkey (Alouatta palliata) for the La Suerte Forest Fragmentation and Primate Behavioral Ecology Project. From December 2018 to January 2019, they worked as a field research assistant at Maderas Rainforest Conservancy, where they again collected behavioral and spatial data on the mantled howler monkey (Alouatta palliata) for the La Suerte Forest Fragmentation and Primate Behavioral Ecology Project. Before that, they were art administrator and project manager at Simply Wood Rings from October 2015 to November 2016.

Luis Gutierrez earned a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Northwestern University. Luis also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Columbia College Chicago.
