Sarah Rutledge has extensive experience in nonprofit leadership and legal advocacy. Currently serving as the Director of Planned Giving at Lincoln Park Zoo since November 2012, Sarah has previously held roles as a Major and Planned Gifts Officer and Campaign Coordinator within the same organization. Prior experience includes serving as a Leadership Giving Assistant at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and working as an attorney at Synergy Legal Professionals and the Center for Disability and Elder Law, where Sarah focused on advocating for low-income seniors and individuals with disabilities. Sarah began their career with a legal internship at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in 2008. Academic achievements include a Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, along with studies at University College Dublin.
