Keith Wallace

Keith Wallace, CPRP has over 20 years of experience in the field of special recreation and adaptive sports. Keith served as the Executive Director and Superintendent of Lincolnway Special Recreation Association (LWSRA) from 2006 to 2013, where they managed a budget of $1 million and oversaw the activities of 35 staff members. Keith also played a key role in expanding LWSRA's presence and impact in the community.

In addition, Keith served as the International Wheelchair Softball Commissioner for the International Wheelchair Softball Federation (IWSF), leading volunteers in developing the sport globally. Keith also founded and served as CEO of the Midwest Wheelchair Sport & Social Club, a volunteer foundation providing athletic programs and social events for individuals with spinal cord and lower extremity injuries.

Keith has also held positions at ABC Medical as an ABC Advocate, Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago as a Program Coordinator, Northern Suburban Special Recreation Association as a Recreation Specialist, and Special Olympics Illinois as an Area Training Director. In these roles, they demonstrated their skills in coaching, mentoring, fundraising, and event coordination.

Keith Wallace, CPRP completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Leisure Studies with a focus on Therapeutic Recreation/Recreational Therapy from Grambling State University between 1995 and 1999.

The primary purpose of Lincolnway Special Recreation Association is to provide programs for people with special needs. These programs are developed with the intention of eliminating any recreational barriers and to facilitate the participants in developing a balance of leisure and socialization skills, recreation resources and opportunities, knowledge and independence, provided in a variety of settings. All of these will contribute to the participants’ well-being in their recreational lifestyles.
