Bernie Li

Bernie Li has worked in the tech industry since 2000. Bernie began their career at Tencent as a Backend Development Engineer, where they were responsible for the development and maintenance of the company's website, as well as its implementation, testing and upgrading. In 2008, Bernie joined Linden Lab where they have held various positions, including Metaverse Senior Engineering Manager, Senior Engineering Manager and Team Lead, Extraction. In their role as Team Lead, Extraction, Bernie worked with their team to develop golang REST apis that solve the needs of Second Life and Sansar, and created a stakeholders meeting to help keep various internal stakeholders apprised of progress and priorities. Bernie also held the role of Software Engineer at Linden Lab.

Bernie Li obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and Science from Xiamen University between 1996 and 2000. Bernie then went on to pursue a Master of Computer Applications - MCA from Columbia University between 2004 and 2006, with a major in Mathematics and Computational Finance.
