Jincheng Gu

Jincheng Gu is a Senior Engineering Manager at Linden Lab, a position they have held since 2021. Prior to this, they were an Angel investor from 2010-2009. During their time at Linden Lab from 2009-2021, they held the roles of Engineering Manager, Team Lead of Extraction, and Software Engineer. Before Linden Lab, they were a Backend Development Engineer at \u817e\u8baf from 2001-2009. As Engineering Manager, they helped launch Tilia, Inc as a business, maintained communication with internal stakeholders, and cleared the runway for their team to make great software. As Team Lead of Extraction, they worked with their team to develop golang REST apis that solved the needs of Second Life and Sansar, and created a stakeholders meeting to help keep various internal stakeholders apprised of progress and priorities. As Backend Development Engineer, they were responsible for the implementation, testing, maintenance and upgrading of the website, as well as solving technical problems in the development process.

Jincheng Gu completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and Science from Xiamen University between 1998 and 2002. Jincheng then went on to obtain a Master of Computer Applications - MCA with a major in Mathematics and Computational Finance from Boston University between 2006 and 2009.
