Erin Nichols

Erin Nichols is currently a Senior Event Architect at Linder. Prior to that, they worked as a Community Economic Development worker with the Peace Corps from February 2015 to April 2017. In their role with the Peace Corps, Erin worked with young adults, women’s groups, and businesses in Sinthou Bamambe to help them strengthen their entrepreneurship/business skills. This included teaching product development, accounting principles, and marketing with a focus on sustainability. Erin also facilitated the cultural exchange of the American and Senegalese cultures through candid discussions about the lifestyles of both countries.

In addition to their work with businesses and entrepreneurs, Erin also served as a Work Zone Coordinator and Girls Camp Coordinator. As Work Zone Coordinator, Erin held quarterly meetings to brief the work zone about changes in Peace Corps and upcoming work zone events. Erin also facilitated work zone collaboration between sectors and mediated interpersonal disputes. As Girls Camp Coordinator, Erin planned and implemented two five-day camps for 38 girls/chaperones to teach them about proper health, gardening, and financial practices. This involved coordinating the schedules and transport of 15+ members of the training staff from across the country and working with them to create diverse programming and activities.

Lastly, Erin served as a Monitoring and Reporting Specialist for the Peace Corps. In this role, they helped volunteers successfully navigate and use the VRF system to correctly report their work to Peace Corps staff. Erin also attended biannual M&R summits to retool the reporting framework and developed strategies for volunteers to make reporting easier and more streamlined.

Erin Nichols has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
