Lauren Neiser serves the community as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at the Lindner Center of HOPE. She works in the outpatient practice.
Prior to completing graduate school at Eastern Kentucky University, Lauren attended Northern Kentucky University, where she obtained both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
Before joining the team at Lindner Center of HOPE, Lauren worked as a psychiatric registered nurse in a variety of settings, including Eating Recovery Center of Cincinnati (ERC) and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). During this time, she provided care to individuals across the lifespan. She has over a decade of experience working directly in psychiatry and mental health. At ERC, she helped to initiate nurse led education groups and assisted in developing the curriculum to present to patients while in treatment. At CCHMC, she was charge nurse and aided in training onboarding nurses. She has mentored students from Xavier University and received high ratings from students in aiding and providing insights into psychiatric nursing and the care of mental health in general.
Lauren works mostly with children, adolescents, and young adults, specializing in eating disorders and anxiety disorders. She has a passion for this population, as well as working with both the client and their families/support system closely to develop the best care plan possible. She believes in the philosophy of treating each client as a whole and incorporating crucial supportive therapies, such as psychotherapy and skills-based coping, in conjunction with psychopharmacologic interventions.
