Dr. Ontiveros is a staff psychiatrist at the Lindner Center of HOPE. He attends to adult patients in the two residential treatment units as well as provides treatment through Lindner’s Neuromodulation Center.
Prior to entering medical school at The University of California, Irvine School of Medicine, he received his B.S. degree in Biology with a focus in anatomy and physiology. During his undergraduate studies, he conducted epidemiological research focused on Lyme Disease and worked with a team to plan the construction of medical training facilities in underserved communities abroad.
After medical school, Dr. Ontiveros completed his adult psychiatric residency at The University of Cincinnati medical center. During his time there, he was involved in developing training lectures for multiple departments within the institution. He also served as the chief resident for psychiatric emergency services.
Dr. Ontiveros has an interest in providing comprehensive care for patients. He believes in evaluating patients in a holistic manner and working with them and their families to develop individualized treatment plans. As part of his desire to provide high-quality evidence based care, he is active in providing neuromodulation care to critically ill patients.
