Jorge Marquez

Project Finance Controller at Lindsayca

Jorge Marquez has experience working in different roles for two companies. From June 2017 to the present, they have been with Lindsayca, starting as a Shipping & Receiving Analyst, then becoming a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, and finally taking on the position of Project Finance Controller in June 2020. Prior to working at Lindsayca, Jorge was the General Manager at ROMY C.A from June 2012 to April 2014. In this role, they managed a $2 Million Drilling Fluids Transportation contract, provided technical support for various projects, and ensured project safety reviews were completed.

Jorge Marquez has a diverse education history that spans over multiple years. Jorge started their educational journey in 2006, enrolling at the Universidad de Oriente in Venezuela. Jorge pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Petroleum Engineering and completed their studies in 2012.

In 2014, Jorge obtained a Diploma in English Language from the University of St. Thomas in Texas. Following this, in 2016 and 2017, they attended Houston Community College, where they earned an Associate's degree in Petroleum Technology/Technician.

In 2020, Jorge pursued a Diploma of Education in Public Policies for Democratic Development in Latin America from a collaboration between the konrad Adenauer Stiftung-Uruguay and the Asociación Civil Estudios Populares-Argentina.

Continuing their educational journey, Jorge enrolled in the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) in 2021. Jorge pursued a Master's degree in International Relations and Affairs, which they are scheduled to complete in 2023.

Most recently, in 2022 and 2023, Jorge attended the IESA, where they pursued a Diplomado in Asuntos Públicos (Public Affairs).

Overall, Jorge Marquez has a well-rounded education history, with degrees and diplomas in various fields including petroleum engineering, English language, public policy, and international relations.
