Sølvi Sletten Karlsbakk has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. In 1993, they worked as a researcher at II Università degli Studi di Roma "Tor Vergata". From 1994 to 1998, they were the Managing Director of Miljø og Gjenvinning, where they were responsible for administration, operations, personnel, marketing, and development. Sølvi Sletten then worked as an Environmental and Quality Consultant at Renovest AS from 1998 to 2001. From 2001 to 2011, they held the position of Senior Broker/Project Manager at Rekom AS. Sølvi Sletten joined Norsk Gjenvinning Downstream as in 2012 as the Head of Sales for recycled wood and specialty fractions. Currently, since 2014, they have been working at Lindum AS, first as a Project Manager for Sales/R&D and then as the Head of Sales downstream. Sølvi Sletten also served as an employee representative on the board from 2016 to 2018.
Sølvi Sletten Karlsbakk attended the University of Bergen (UiB) from 1986 to 1992, where they obtained a degree in Cand. scient. / Lektor with a specialization in Miljøfysiologi. In 1994 to 1995, they pursued further education at the same university, acquiring a Delfag in Miljøfag. In 1995 to 1996, Sølvi continued their studies at UiB and completed a Delfag in Lokal og regional planlegging. Additionally, in January 2017, they obtained a certification as an Autorisert styremedlem from Styreforeningen.
