Chris Butler

Chris Butler is a co-founder and adviser at Added Health™ since January 2021 and serves as an honorary professor at the University of Cape Town from August 2020. As a member of the Board of Trustees for the Rhodes University UK Trust since January 2014, Chris has also been the clinical director of the Primary Care Clinical Trials Unit at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, University of Oxford, since September 2013. Previously, Chris held the position of professor of primary care medicine at Cardiff University from January 2002 until September 2016. Educational qualifications include an MBChB in Medicine from the University of Cape Town, a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Wales, Cardiff, and a Diploma in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Toronto. In March 2024, Chris will be awarded an honorary Doctor of Medicine from the University of Antwerp.
