Jim Horng

Jim Horng is a seasoned Sr. Data/AI/ML Engineer at LINE Corp since May 2018, where expertise includes building extensive data pipelines handling over 30 billion data points daily utilizing technologies such as Apache Airflow, Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka. Prior to this, from September 2016 to April 2018, Jim served as a Principal Software Engineer at Digital River, developing an API Orchestration Service that managed over 100 million e-commerce requests daily. Jim's experience also includes a role as a Software Developer at Cheetah Mobile, creating a machine learning-based spam call detection model with high precision and recall, and as Team Lead at QNAP Systems, overseeing team development and refining engineering processes. Contributions to open-source projects further highlight Jim's commitment to software development and collaboration. Jim holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Management from Yuan-Ze University and a Master's degree in Information and Computer Education from Kaohsiung Normal University.
