Tommi Riipinen

Tommi Riipinen is currently working as a DevOps Lead at Linear since January 2023. Prior to joining Linear, they worked at Siili Solutions as a Senior DevOps Consultant from July 2022 to January 2023 and as a DevOps Specialist from October 2021 to June 2022. Before Siili Solutions, Tommi worked at Kela, where they held the role of Information Technology Specialist. At Kela, they developed and maintained a containerized AI-enabled attachment processing solution and worked as a data lake specialist for the national health record archive of Finland. Tommi's work at Kela involved utilizing various technologies such as Docker, OpenShift, Python, Jenkins, Tekton, Helm, OpenCV, Tesseract, Java, Spring, neural networks, PostgreSQL, Keycloak, Rest, Hadoop, Hive, SQL, Spark, Airflow, and Jupyter notebook. Prior to Kela, Tommi worked at the University of Jyväskylä as a Team Lead and Software Developer, focusing on prototypes for the healthcare domain using AI technologies and content analytics. Tommi also managed a research group focused on service robotics. Before that, Tommi was the CEO of Nemosoft Oy from May 2013 until November 2017, and they started their career as a Customer Service Agent at Manpower Finland in May 2011.

Tommi Riipinen holds a Master of Economics degree from the University of Jyväskylä, which they obtained from 2016 to 2019. Their field of study during this time was Information Systems, Digital Media, and Communication.
