Max Margolis has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. From 1996 to 1997, they worked as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Cincinnati. Following that, they served as a Program Assistant at the Morrison Center Counterpoint Day Treatment from 1997 to 1999. In 1999, Max became the YouthLink Director at Oregon Partnership, where they directed a statewide youth-drug prevention program and improved program operations by creating websites and program collateral. From 1999 to 2006, Max worked as an Educational Assistant at Clackamas Education Service District, and then joined the City of Portland as a Crime Prevention Program Administrator for Southeast Portland. In this role, they led community outreach efforts and facilitated forums to address public safety concerns. Between 2014 and 2021, Max worked as a Reading Tutor at Reading Results, providing direct reading support to elementary school students and creating lesson plans. Max also ran a self-funded campaign for Portland Public School Board in 2021 and is currently working as the Lead Project Coordinator for Construction Suicide Prevention Partnership at Lines for Life, where they coordinate suicide prevention training activities and prepares media releases.
Max Margolis attended Ohio University from 1992 to 1996, where they majored in Political Science. Max then transferred to the University of Cincinnati in 1996, focusing on Political Communication. Following their time at the University of Cincinnati, Max returned to Ohio University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government.
