Linfield, Hunter and Junius, Inc.

Linfield, Hunter & Junius, Inc. is a long-term provider of quality Civil Engineering, Architecture and Land Surveying services to public and private clients. The firm has received rare special recognition from an array of clients ranging from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to CVS Pharmacies. Over a thousand repeat assignments from our clients do much to attest to our performance. Long-term major infrastructure clients include the State of Louisiana, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Port of New Orleans, City of New Orleans, Jefferson Parish, Plaquemines Parish and generally most public authorities in South Louisiana. Private clients include a host of industrial, institutional, commercial and land development entities. The firm has designed successful projects throughout the Southern United States, both East and West Coasts and abroad. The firm’s major areas of practice include water resources, transportation, buildings, bridges, marine and site developments. The firm’s already significant hurricane protection workload has increased substantially since Hurricane Katrina. LH&J is very well known for the ability to respond quickly to the needs of its clients. When Hurricane Katrina breached the levee at the 17th Street Canal, it was LH&J that designed all $200,000,000+ of breach fixes, floodgates and pump stations at the canal to have the city reasonably prepared within only 9 months for the next season’s hurricanes. When a barge collision pinned down three of the Port of New Orleans’ giant gantry cranes, it was LH&J that engineered emergency wharf repairs to free up the cranes. The complete integration of our engineering, surveying and architecture departments has allowed LH&J to add unexpected design touches to otherwise nondescript engineering projects as well as unexpected new functionality to many of our architectural projects.
