Michelle Anne Foster

Michelle Anne Foster has a diverse work experience in various online tutoring roles and other positions. Michelle Anne started their career in 2010 with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, where they worked as a Field Assessor. In 2015, they transitioned to the role of Project Specialist until January 2016.

In 2016, Michelle became an Executive Consultant at Rodan + Fields. Michelle Anne then moved on to the education industry, starting as an Instructor at Outschool in July 2020. Michelle Anne later joined VIPKID as an Online English Second Language Teacher in March 2018.

From there, Michelle pursued online tutoring opportunities, working as an Online English Second Language Tutor at LingoAce, Cambly Inc., and Fluentbe from 2021 to 2022. Michelle Anne also served as an Online Reading Tutor at Ignite! Reading, Littera Education, and BookNook during the same period.

Michelle's most recent role was as an Online English Second Language Tutor at LingoAce since June 2023. Michelle Anne has gained valuable experience in teaching English as a second language and reading instruction, both online and in-person.

Michelle Anne Foster completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Sociology from Drury University, starting in 1987 and finishing in 1990. Michelle Anne then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Criminal Justice and Corrections from the University of Central Missouri from 1991 to 1992.

In addition to their degrees, Michelle has obtained several certifications. In 2018, they received a TESOL certification from the International Open Academy. The following year, they obtained a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification from TEFL in China. In 2021, Michelle completed the Teachers College Reading & Writing Project at Teachers College, Columbia University.

More recently, Michelle has acquired various tutoring certifications. In 2022, they became a Certified Math Tutor through Apex Learning and obtained certifications in Math Tutor - Nearpod and Reading/ELA Tutor - Exact Path ELA from Edmentum. In 2023, they attained certifications as a Certified ELA Tutor and Certified Math Tutor from Apex Learning.
