Despina Grkoska

Despina Grkoska has a diverse work experience in the field of quality assurance and software testing. Despina currently serves as the Lead Quality Assurance Engineer at Lingoda GmbH, a position they have held since October 2021. In this role, they have been responsible for establishing QA processes, maintaining test strategies, and defining automation scope and processes. Despina has also worked closely with product management to align priorities and has automated test scenarios using Cypress. Additionally, Despina has assisted the development team in identifying and addressing problematic areas, risks, and bottlenecks.

Prior to their current role, Despina worked as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Lingoda GmbH from April 2019 to August 2022. During this time, they played a vital role in establishing QA processes from scratch and worked on tasks such as planning and maintaining test strategies, determining ticket lifecycles in JIRA, and defining automation scope.

Before joining Lingoda GmbH, Despina gained experience as a Software Test Analyst at AccessHQ from March 2021 to August 2021. Despina also worked as a QA Automation Engineer at GetTechTalent from September 2018 to December 2019, where they specialized in automating test processes.

Despina's earlier experience includes working as a QA Engineer at ExpertsQA from March 2017 to September 2018. In this role, they worked on various projects using Agile Methodology and performed manual, functional, and black box testing. Despina also wrote test plans and test cases and utilized defect management tools like JIRA, Trello, and Pivotal Tracker.

Despina's career started at the University for Information Science & Technology - Ohrid, Macedonia, where they served as the Vice President of the Student Parliament from September 2014 to September 2016.

Despina Grkoska earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Artificial Intelligence & Robotics from the University for Information Science and Technology "St. Paul the Apostle" in Ohrid, Macedonia. Despina attended the university from 2011 to 2015.

In addition to their degree, Despina has obtained two certifications. In September 2020, they became an ISTQB Certified Tester - Foundation Level through iSQI GmbH. In August 2020, they also obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft.
