Olivier Libouban has worked in the software industry since 1987. Theirfirst position was as a Staff Member and Manufacturing Engineer at Hewlett-Packard Company. In 1990, they became a Software Development Manager at AMIS A/S, where they managed the development of a C/Motif based product for Telecom operators in Europe. In 1991, they began working as a Principal Engineer at Visual Numerics, Inc., developing and leading development for new functionality for PV-WAVE and new Java based products. From 1999 to 2000, they worked as a Senior Architect at Aegis Corp. and BEA Systems, Inc. respectively. From 2002 to 2006, they were a Project Director and Architect at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. From 2003 to 2010, they were a Senior Architect and Project Manager at S&H. Finally, since 2010, they have been the VP Product Development at Lingoport, where they lead the software product strategy and manages the company's globalization product suite development. In 2018, they began working as a Software Globalization Lecturer at the University of Washington.
Olivier Libouban obtained a Diplôme d'Ingénieur in Computer Science from INSA Rennes in 1984, and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1986. Olivier also holds certifications from Sun Microsystems, including a Sun Certified Java Architect obtained in June 2000 and a Sun Certified Java Developer.
