Christine Mallinson

Christine Mallinson is the Lipitz Distinguished Professor in the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at UMBC. Christine also serves as the Special Assistant for Research & Creative Achievement in UMBC's Office of the VP for Research, and is the Director of the Center for Social Science Scholarship. Mallinson is a Professor of Language, Literacy and Culture, with a Ph.D. in Sociology and Anthropology from North Carolina State University. Christine has a strong focus on addressing racism, bias, and promoting justice and equity in educational settings.
