Haubert Jeannie is a seasoned academic and director with extensive experience in sociology and strategic initiatives. Currently serving as the Consulting Director for Strategic Initiatives at the Linguistic Society of America since February 2024, Haubert previously held the role of Director of Research, Professional Development, and Academic Affairs at the American Sociological Association from August 2022 to January 2024. Responsibilities encompassed managing qualitative and quantitative research, directing professional development offerings, liaising with key constituents, overseeing grant administration, and leading strategic planning and project management. Prior to that, Haubert spent over 16 years at Winthrop University, holding various positions from Assistant Professor to Professor and Chair of Sociology, Criminology, and Anthropology. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Spanish from Furman University and a PhD in Sociology from Tulane University.
