Leevi Markkula

Leevi Markkula is an experienced R&D Engineer at LINK Design and Development Oy since March 2020 and has been working as a freelance designer since November 2013, developing both a personal product line and customer projects for notable clients including the Finnish Defence Forces and Stockholm’s Karolinska Institutet. Markkula studied mechanical engineering at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, where a Bachelor's degree was obtained in June 2022, and previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial and Product Design from Kymenlaakso University of Applied Sciences in 2013. Additional experience includes roles as a Technical Designer at Awain Ltd. from July 2017 to January 2021, Security Instructor at Airpro Oy from July 2014 to July 2020, and Project Assistant at Kymenlaakso University of Applied Sciences. Markkula began a career in production with Aventra Oy in 2007.
