Carlos Agudelo began their work experience in 1990 at Mafriccion S.A. as a Process and Mechanical Systems Engineer. In this role, they assessed technical needs for friction material manufacturing, designed and automated production equipment, and improved manufacturing processes and product quality control. Carlos then joined Compañia Suramericana de Seguros S.A. in 1993 as a Strategist, where they were responsible for strategic planning, business benchmarking, and business forecasting. Carlos became the General Manager at Mafriccion S.A. in 1997 before moving to Link Engineering Company in 2001. At Link Engineering, they held roles such as Lead Test Engineer, Engineering Manager - Laboratory Testing, Chief Engineer - Laboratory Testing, and Director of Advanced Technology Development. In these positions, Carlos led teams of test engineers, coordinated laboratory operations, prepared business and testing proposals, and was actively involved in industry standard development organizations.

Carlos Agudelo attended Universidad de Antioquia from 1990 to 1992, where they obtained a degree in Finance and Project Management, specializing in Business/Managerial Economics. Prior to that, from 1983 to 1988, Carlos attended Escuela de Administración de Finanzas y Negocios, earning a Bachelor's degree in Production Engineering with a focus on industrial Manufacturing and Technology Management. In 2007, Carlos obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Smarter Solutions, specializing in statistical methods, Design of Experiments, and ANOVA. In 2014, they successfully completed the Six Sigma Black Belt certification program offered by Smarter Solutions, Inc.
