Daniel Dykstra has a diverse and extensive work experience. Daniel currently works as a Business Development Manager at Link Engineering Company, starting in May 2022. Prior to this role, they served as an Account Manager at the same company from October 2018 to May 2022.
Before joining Link Engineering Company, Daniel worked at SAF-HOLLAND Inc. for several years. Their positions at SAF-HOLLAND included Director of Global Research & Development, where they managed global engineering activities and localized products in 12 countries. Daniel also served as the Vice President of Product Planning and Market Development, responsible for global product plans and coordination with product managers. Additionally, they held the position of Program Manager for Auxiliary Axles Systems, where they led a team to restart a product line for a new market segment. Daniel was also the Director of Research and Development, overseeing new product development for the Powered Vehicle Systems Business Unit. Notably, they successfully launched a drive axle and air suspension for the heavy-duty truck market. Prior to this, they worked as a Group Leader for Fifth Wheels, managing a team of engineers and designers.
Daniel also gained valuable experience at Outboard Marine Corporation, where they worked as a Senior Development Engineer in Research. In this role, they conducted non-linear, dynamic magnetic field analysis and statistical analysis on a new fuel injector. Daniel also prototyped a modular boat structure.
Throughout their career, Daniel has demonstrated strong leadership skills, project management capabilities, and a focus on innovation. Daniel has achieved significant cost savings, reduced time-to-market, and successfully launched new products.
Daniel Dykstra attended Grand Rapids Community College from 1987 to 1989, where they earned an Associate of Science degree in Engineering. Daniel then went on to study at Michigan Technological University from 1989 to 1992, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Design). Continuing their education at the same institution, they pursued a Master's degree in Engineering Mechanics from 1992 to 1993.
