Amaris Evans is an accomplished educator, founder, and online course developer with extensive experience in mathematics education and technology integration. Currently serving as the Founder of Black Girls Do Math Too and a Fellow at Surge Institute, Amaris also holds the positions of Online Course Developer and Educational Technology Specialist at National Louis University, and Clinical Instructor at The University of Chicago Graham School. As a Math Teacher at Lindblom Math and Science Academy and Junior Math Instructor at LINK Unlimited Scholars, Amaris is dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment and developing engaging curricula. In addition to founding Math Flow Connection LLC, a tutoring service focused on building student confidence in mathematics, Amaris volunteers with #HashTag LunchBag and has been a mathematics tutor since 2006. Amaris holds multiple degrees from the University of Chicago and Eastern Michigan University, specializing in mathematics and education.
